Great Minds
Great Minds (‘Grote Geesten’ in Dutch) is an educational and animated series that highlights the lives and ideas of influential thinkers, philosophers, and writers from the Humanist Canon. Created as combinations of animation series and audio series, it explores how the historical ideas of these figures still shape our society today.
There are 38 animated episodes available in the video series. Additionally, there is a widely popular audio series.
Each episode or segment focuses on a specific historical figure, such as Socrates, Virginia Woolf, James Baldwin, Hannah Arendt, Spinoza, and Simone de Beauvoir. They explore what these individuals stood for and what lessons we can learn from their thoughts.
